Project Description
Oskar & Lilli

Synopsis
Chechen refugee children Oskar (8) and Lilli (13) who have been living in Austria for six years, are about to be deported with their mother. Because of their mother’s attempted suicide to prevent this, their exile is shortly delayed but the family is separated from each other forcefully. The hope of the children to rejoin with their mother is nourished with their love for each other and ensures them to challenge all the bureaucratic barriers. This film is a painful experience that shows there are lots of ways to perceive the world around you in order to survive.
